2026 Vista Fire Department Pizza Night & Open House

By Vista Fire Department
October 4, 2026

On Saturday, October 3rd, the Vista Volunteer Fire Department hosted our annual Pizza Night & Open House!

Members of the community, friends, families, and neighboring emergency service agencies joined us at the Vista Firehouse for an evening of fresh homemade pizza, live music, fire truck rides, apparatus tours, Fire & EMS demonstrations, and our annual Silent Auction. The event also gave visitors an opportunity to meet our members, learn more about the services we provide, and see how they can get involved with the Vista Volunteer Fire Department as a Firefighter, Emergency Medical Technician, or Apparatus Driver.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to support the Vista Volunteer Fire Department and helped make this year’s Pizza Night & Open House a success!

A very special thank you to Angelo Competiello and Alta Irpinia in Suffern, New York, for their generous food donations and for helping our members prepare and make the pizzas served throughout the evening. Their generosity and assistance played an important role in making Pizza Night possible.

We would also like to thank New Canaan's School of Rock for performing throughout the evening and providing live music for our guests. Their performance was a great addition to this year's Pizza Night & Open House.

We would also like to thank everyone who generously contributed to this year’s Silent Auction, including Essie Cohen Makeup, Jess DeVito of Wild Suns Sourdough, Ring’s End, Brian Smith, the New York Giants, the New York Jets, and the New York Knicks. This year’s auction featured a one-hour makeup lesson, a sourdough bread gift basket, a dog-themed gift basket, a Ring’s End gift card, a car emergency kit, handcrafted wooden boards, hand tools and accessories, professional sports memorabilia, and a special opportunity to ride to school in a Vista fire truck. We are also grateful to the individuals and supporters who donated or helped put together additional auction items and packages.

Thank you again to everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, cooked, served, performed, helped behind the scenes, or otherwise supported this year’s event. The continued support of our community means a great deal to the members of the Vista Volunteer Fire Department and helps us continue serving our neighbors.
