This week’s Monday Night Drill was a “New Ambulance 84B2 Overview” drill for our members.

The drill took place at the Vista Firehouse, where members were introduced to the department’s new AEV Traumahawk Ford F550 ambulance, designated 84B2. Vista Fire Department personnel had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the new vehicle’s layout, equipment placement, and advanced features. Members practiced operating key systems, including lighting and communication controls, and patient care areas. Hands-on training also focused on safe vehicle operation and emergency driving considerations.

Training for the new ambulance is essential to ensure that all members are comfortable and confident when responding to calls, allowing them to provide the highest level of care and operate efficiently during emergencies.
