| The Vista Fire Department is proud to announce the following Foremen, taking office effective May 1, 2025, and serving until April 30, 2026, after being appointed by Chief Jeff Peck for the upcoming fiscal year:

Foreman Brian Sferra - Tanker 4
Foreman Isabel Fry - Ambulance 84B1
Foreman Leslie Smith - Ambulance 84B2

Here is some information on the Vista Fire Department Foremen for this upcoming fiscal year:
Lead Foreman Michael Peck - Lead Foreman Peck has been with the Vista FD since February 2007, winning the VFD Rookie of the Year award in 2007–2008, and the VFD Firefighter of the Year award in both 2008–2009 and 2011–2012. He oversees the day-to-day operations of Engine 141 and has served as a Foreman since May 2024.
Lead Foreman Ryan Ruggiero - Lead Foreman Ruggiero has been with the Vista FD since November 2015, earning the VFD Rookie of the Year award in 2016–2017, Firefighter of the Year in 2017–2018, and EMT of the Year in 2019–2020. He oversees the day-to-day operations of Engine 142 and has served as a Foreman since May 2020.
Foreman Kyla Whalen - Foreman Whalen has been with the Vista FD since October 2019, earning the VFD Rookie of the Year award in 2020–2021. She oversees the day-to-day operations of Engine 143 and has served as a Foreman since May 2023.
Foreman Brian Sferra - Foreman Sferra has been with the Vista FD since December 2019, winning the VFD Firefighter of the Year award in 2021–2022. He oversees the day-to-day operations of Tanker 4 and has served as a Foreman since May 2021.
Foreman Isabel Fry - Foreman Fry has been with the Vista FD since February 2016, earning the VFD EMT of the Year award in 2022–2023. She oversees the day-to-day operations of Ambulance 84B1 and has served as a Foreman since June 2022.
Foreman Leslie Smith - Foreman Smith has been with the Vista FD since August 2002, earning the VFD EMT of the Year award in 2005–2006. She oversees the day-to-day operations of Ambulance 84B2 and has served as a Foreman since May 2022.
