This week's Monday Night Drill was a "Patient Packaging and Devices" drill for our members.
The "Patient Packaging and Devices" drill had our Vista Fire Department personnel reviewing how to lift and move patients by using our patient packaging equipment. Vista Fire Department personnel reviewed how to operate the stair chair, stretcher, reeves stretcher and scoop stretcher equipment. This type of training is what we consider our "bread & butter" EMS operations and has prepared our members on how to properly respond during most EMS emergencies we are dispatched for.
