The Vista Fire Department would like to congratulate EMT Grant Vialardi on completing his probationary period in the Department through the VFD Mentor Program!

Since joining the Vista Fire Department, EMT Grant Vialardi has been cleared as a riding EMT and is in the process of completing driver training on our Ambulances. EMT Grant Vialardi actively participates during calls & drills and has been mentored throughout his probationary period by Lieutenant Dan Castelhano.

The Vista Fire Department mentor program is a process where new members are paired up with a senior member to help guide them through their probationary period in the Department. This program was developed to help transition new members into the Department by understanding call response, attending weekly Monday drills and preparing them for classes they may be taking in their first year with the Department.
