| On Wednesday, April 24th and Thursday, April 25th the Vista Volunteer Fire Department participated in the John Jay High School "Trial By Fire" recruitment events along with the Katonah, South Salem & Golden's Bridge Fire Departments.
Students of John Jay High School participated in several stations throughout the competitive event with the winning teams getting a "Trial By Fire" shirt! The stations included "don-climb-doff" focusing on firefighting gear, "sketch the unseen picture challenge" focusing on radio communications and a "dummy drag" focusing on the physicality of firefighting.
The Vista FD is proud to be part of great community outreach events such as the John Jay High School "Trial By Fire" recruitment events and we would like to thank the organizers at the Katonah Fire Department for making us part of this great event!
