This Sunday morning we held a "Firefighter & EMT Skills Class" for our weekly Sunday Training.

This Sunday's "Firefighter & EMT Skills Class" had our Firefighting & EMS personnel reviewing NFPA 3000 which is the standard for Active Shooter/Hostile Event Response (ASHER). Vista Fire Department members completed the first half of the response module going over all aspects of the process, from identifying hazards, resource management, incident management at a command level, competencies for first responders, and recovery. This type of training is what will help prepare our Vista Fire Department personnel in responding to Active Shooter/Hostile Event Response (ASHER) related incidents.
