This Sunday morning we held a "Motor Pump Operators & Firefighter Skills Class" and an "EMT Skills Class" for our weekly Sunday Training.

This Sunday's "Motor Pump Operators & Firefighter Skills Class" had our Firefighting personnel pumping Engine 142 while supplying 1-3/4" hose lines that were being used to practice hose line advancement operations. This type of training is what will help our prospective Apparatus drivers to become cleared drivers in our Department as well as Firefighters who plan on attending the New York State Firefighter I program succeed in their class, and for our Firefighters who have completed Firefighter I to keep up with their skills.

This Sunday's "EMT Skills Class" had our EMS personnel reviewing how to communicate with our nearby hospitals via the radios on our Ambulances. This type of training is what will prepare our EMT Candidates who are planning to take a future EMT Basic class succeed and for our EMTs who have completed EMT Basic to keep up with their skills.
