This Sunday morning we held a "Firefighter Skills Class," an "EMT Skills Class" for our weekly Sunday Training and Driver Training for our members who are becoming Apparatus Drivers on Engine 143 & our Ambulances.

This Sunday's "Firefighter Skills Class" focused on donning Firefighting personal protective equipment (PPE), how to operate an SCBA and performing both the 2-minute & 25-second drills. This type of training is what will help our Firefighters who plan on attending the New York State Firefighter I program succeed in their class and for our Firefighters who have completed Firefighter I to keep up with their skills.

This Sunday's "EMT Skills Class" had our EMS personnel going over vital signs in EMS and the type of equipment that is in each jump bag & how to operate it. This type of training is what will prepare our EMT Candidates who are preparing themselves for a future EMT Basic class and for our EMTs who have completed EMT Basic to keep up with their skills.
