Tanker Shuttle and Musculoskeletal Trauma CME Drill for 08/20/18

This week's Monday Night Drill was a "Tanker Shuttle" for our Firefighters and a "Trauma CME" drill for our EMTs.

The "tanker shuttle" drill had the Vista and South Salem Fire Departments practicing water supply operations this past Monday night. A "tanker shuttle" is where Firefighters are forced to move water via tankers due to areas with no fire hydrants or good drafting resources. It is instrumental for Departments in our area to have an adequate water supply to insure a successful fireground operation. Being that the Vista Fire District is a "rural water supply" area, practicing this type of water supply operations is essential. We would like to thank the South Salem Fire Department for supplying their tanker to help take part in this week's drill.

The "musculoskeletal trauma CME" drill had our Vista EMS personnel visiting Pound Ridge VAC to continue their medical education on musculoskeletal trauma incidents and treatments. Our Department appreciates the opportunity to train with neighboring agencies and as always, extend our thanks to Pound Ridge VAC for hosting this past Monday's CME lecture.
