On Tuesday January 13th, the New Canaan (CT) Fire Department honored Vista FD Ex-Chief Bill Dingee for his 21 years of service as the Deputy Fire Marshal for New Canaan.

Fire Marshal Fred Baker spoke of Ex-Chief Dingee saying “I’ve been here for almost nine years — not beating Bill and his 21 years,” Baker said. “He made my transition very easy, and I thank him very much.” Ex-Chief Dingee’s plaque reads from the New Canaan Fire Department reads, in part: “Presented to William R. Dingee in recognition and appreciation for your 21 years of dedicated service as deputy fire marshal in the town of New Canaan.”
