Ice Water Rescue Drill for 01/15/18

By Vista Fire Department
January 16, 2018

This Monday night our Firefighters & EMT's reviewed how to properly rescue a patient during an "Ice Water Rescue."

Led by Firefighter Sean Kelly, our members reviewed how to properly put on the water rescue suits, how to properly rig a patient with their rescue equipment, how to throw the rescue rope bag and then they practiced how to rescue a patient on the Vista Firehouse pond. This type of training has now prepared our Firefighters & EMT's on how to properly respond and perform during an ice water rescue incident.

The Vista Fire Department holds drill every Monday and if you are interested in becoming a member at the Vista Volunteer Fire Department, please click the "Become a Member" tab at VistaFD.org!
