Last night the Vista Fire Department wrapped up their 2017 drill schedule by watching the FDNY documentary "Brotherhood" followed by our end of the year slide show put together by Lieutenant Brian Porco. Our members also enjoyed a nice dinner courtesy of the VFD Auxiliary to finish up this year.

Wrapping up our drill schedule by watching the FDNY documentary "Brotherhood" has been a tradition in the firehouse for several years due to the positive messages the film sends regarding the importance of working together to accomplish a common goal. The "Brother/Sister-hood" of the emergency services is extremely important to the Vista Fire Department and this documentary shows the strong bond among emergency service workers.

In 2017, we held 37 drills on Monday nights throughout the year for our all-Volunteer organization. The time and sacrifice our members put into training on a yearly basis not only on Monday nights for drill, but throughout the year by taking various classes & courses, shows the great pride every member of the VFD puts in to serving the Vista Fire District.

The Vista Fire Department trains every Monday night (following the 1st Monday of the month) starting at 7:30pm and if you would like to be part of our team at the VFD please click the "Become a Member" tab or call us at (914)-533-2727.
