This week's Monday Drill saw the Vista Firefighters reviewing Ladders Operations while the Vista EMT's went over how to handle Allergic Reaction incidents.

The Ladders Operations drill led by Foreman Marc Baiocco, had our Firefighters practice proper ladder placement techniques, how to do the "punch method" and how to properly carry tools & equipment while operating on a ladder. It's crucial for Vista Firefighters to practice ladder operations as it's an important task on the Emergency scene. Ladder operations are essential when it comes to venting a structure or giving Firefighters a way to exit a building should they need to if situations worsen.

The Allergic Reactions drill led by Lt. Debbie Ferman, had our EMT's reviewing allergic reaction protocols and practicing how they would respond to an allergic reaction incident. The drill scenarios conducted this past Monday night helped better prepare our EMT's on how to handle allergic reaction calls going forward.
