This week's Monday drill was a "Ropes & Knots" class for our Firefighters, while our EMT's reviewed EMS equipment through an "Ambulance Scavenger Hunt" class.

The "Ropes & Knots" class was led by Captain Mike Peck as our Firefighters reviewed how to do knots such as Figure 8, Figure 8 on a bight, Figure 8 on a bend, clove hitch, half hitch, safety knot, becket bend, sheet bend and the hasty harness. They also practiced hoisting tools and equipment with the knots they reviewed in the first part of this drill.

The "Ambulance Scavenger Hunt" class was led by Lt. Debbie Ferman as our EMT's and EMT Candidates reviewed EMS equipment in our Ambulances via a competition through a "scavenger hunt." This tested our EMS personnel to know where the equipment is located, what the equipment is for and how to use it.
