This Sunday morning we held a "Firefighter Fundamentals Class" for our members who are preparing themselves to take Firefighter I this upcoming Winter/Spring and for our Firefighters who have completed Firefighter I but want to continue to improve their Firefighting skills. We also held an "MPO Class" for our members who are becoming Apparatus Drivers/MPO's in the Vista Volunteer Fire Department.

Led by Lead Foreman Phil Katz & Foreman Marc Baiocco, this week's "Firefighter Fundamentals Class" covered reduced profile and SCBA operations with our Firefighters. This type of training is what will prepare our Probationary Firefighters who are attending this class for the New York State Firefighter I program several months from now and for our Firefighters who have completed Firefighter I to keep up with their skills.

Led by Captain Mike Peck, this week's "MPO Class" had our Apparatus drivers training on Tanker 4 and Engine 143 as they continued to learn how to operate the motor pump panel. This type of training is part of our Driver Training program as we continue to develop new Apparatus Drivers/MPO's in the Vista Volunteer Fire Department.
