| This Sunday morning we held a "Firefighter Fundamentals Class" for our members who are preparing themselves to take Firefighter I this upcoming Winter/Spring and Driver Training for our members training to become Apparatus Drivers/MPO's.
Led by Lead Foreman Phil Katz & Foreman Marc Baiocco, this week's "Firefighter Fundamentals Class" reviewed Forcible Entry with our Probationary Firefighters. Our Probationary Firefighters learned the proper techniques on how to force open a door and how to "pack up" once they force the door open. This type of training is what will prepare our Firefighters for the New York State Firefighter I program several months from now.
While this class was going on, our perspective Apparatus Drivers/MPO's were training on Engine 141, Engine 142 and Engine 143 during Driver Training on Sunday.
