This week's Monday night drill saw our Vista Firefighters going through hose line advancement training. The purpose of this training is for our Firefighters to have the proper fundamentals of fighting a fire in the event of an emergency. Our Firefighters went over different techniques on how to stretch a 1-3/4" hose line off of Engine 141 and how to properly place the hose line on the fireground before entering a burning structure.

The Vista Fire Department EMT's spent their Monday EMS drill reviewing the New York State Pre-Hospital Treatment Protocols by going over the latest updates and changes. Our EMT's reviewed the NYS Pre-Hospital Treatment protocols over a three week period as it better prepares our EMT's to give the proper care to our community. This is part of the in-service training our EMT's do throughout the year at the Vista Fire Department.

The Vista Fire Department drills every Monday and if you're interested in joining feel free to stop by any Monday night between 6:30pm - 9pm for more details on how you can be part of our team!
