This past Sunday morning the Vista Fire Department conducted a MPO class for those perspective drivers who are learning how to drive & operate the Tanker in the Vista Fire Department. To conduct the Tanker Shuttle training we were also joined by members of the Pound Ridge Fire Department and Pound Ridge Tanker 3.

A "tanker shuttle" is where Firefighters are forced to move water via tankers due to areas with no fire hydrants or good drafting resources. It's instrumental for Departments in our area to have an adequate water supply to insure a successful fireground operation.

Being that the Vista Fire District is a "rural water supply" area, practicing this type of water supply operations is instrumental to our Department's success.
