| The Vista Fire Department Firefighters reviewed ladder operations during this week's Firefighting drill as they practiced operating a 14-foot, 24-foot and 28-foot ladder. It's crucial for Vista Firefighters to practice ladder operations as it's an important task on the Emergency scene. Ladder operations are essential when it comes to venting a structure or giving Firefighters a way to exit a building should they need to if situations worsen. The Vista Fire Department EMT's spent their Monday EMS drill reviewing the New York State Pre-Hospital Treatment Protocols by going over the latest updates and changes. Our EMT's will be reviewing the NYS Pre-Hospital Treatment protocols over a two week period as it better prepares our EMT's to give the proper care to our community. This is part of the in-service training our EMT's do throughout the year at the Vista Fire Department. The Vista Fire Department drills every Monday and if you're interested in joining feel free to stop by any Monday night between 6:30pm - 9pm for more details on how you can be part of our team! |
