We at the Vista Fire Department would like to congratulate Firefighter Dom Mangone on his completion of the Recruit Firefighter program at the Connecticut Fire Academy in Windsor, Connecticut. Firefighter Dom Mangone was a member of Recruit Class 57.

The Connecticut Recruit Firefighter program is described as a 14-week, 70-day course that helps new Firefighter recruits develop the knowledge, abilities, and skills needed for a new firefighter to preform entry-level tasks under direct supervision. Firefighter Mangone put himself through the Connecticut Fire Academy as he betters himself for an opportunity to be hired by a career Fire Department; doing such is an incredibly admirable thing as he pursues his career in the Fire Service.

Firefighter Mangone joins fellow Vista members Firefighter Sean Kelly, Ex-Vista FD Chief Bill Dingee & Captain Mike Peck as members who have completed the Connecticut Fire Academy.
