How long have you been a member for?

I have been a member for almost 5 years, joining in August 2011.

What made you join the Vista Volunteer Fire Department?

I am from Connecticut but I wanted to serve in a Department that also had EMS response, so I joined the Vista FD.

What does serving the Vista Fire District community mean to you?

It means everything to me as I serve the citizens of Vista with pride. It's an honor to protect the citizens of Vista from any type of emergency, whether it be Fire or EMS.

What has been your greatest achievement with the Vista Volunteer Fire Department?

My greatest achievement in the Vista Fire Department was becoming a mentor through our Mentor Program when a new member joins. It allowed me to teach a new Firefighter what it truly means to be a Firefighter and serve our community.

What would you tell someone who is thinking about joining the Vista Volunteer Fire Department?

I tell people who want to join the VFD to just do it. You’ll never know till you do it. You will love the family atmosphere and know that the members of our Department will always have your back. I am proud to say that I have two families.
