This week's Monday drill saw both our Vista Firefighters & EMT's working together during hose line advancement and rehab operations scenarios. The purpose of this drill was to train our Firefighters on how they would respond to a house fire by stretching a hose line into the 2nd floor of a burning building and then getting treated by our EMT's to ensure their vitals were within a safe zone to avoid any health concerns.

"Firefighter Rehab operations" is designed to ensure Firefighters physical and/or mental well-being during an emergency scene. Due to the dangers that come with Firefighting, rehab operations plays a crucial role in making sure all our emergency responders stay safe. The Vista Fire Department is fortunate enough to offer both Fire & EMS services which allows our members to train together in crucial scenarios such as these.
