| The Vista Fire Department is proud to congratulate Firefighter/EMT Ashtin Rama on successfully completing his probationary period through the VFD Mentor Program!
Since joining the department, Firefighter/EMT Rama has achieved several important milestones, including becoming a Nationally Certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), completing Firefighter I, and being cleared as a driver on the department’s ambulances and Utility 256. Throughout his probation, Firefighter/EMT Rama has been an active participant in both emergency calls and training drills, and he has been mentored by Firefighter Dan Hochman.
The Vista Fire Department Mentor Program pairs new recruits with experienced members to guide them through their initial period of service. This program provides critical support as new members familiarize themselves with call response protocols, attend weekly Monday drills, and prepare for relevant coursework in their first year with the department.
