| This week’s Monday Night Drill featured a “Hydrant Service” drill for our Firefighters and a “Call Audit” drill for our EMTs. The Hydrant Service Drill had our Vista Firefighters performing preventative maintenance on the district’s dry hydrants. Regular hydrant servicing ensures that motor pump operators can access water quickly and efficiently, preventing delays that could occur if hydrants become obstructed with silt or debris over time. While conducting these checks, our driver trainees also had the opportunity to practice their pump panel operations under real-world conditions. The Call Audit Drill, led by our Medical Director Dr. David Zuckerberg, had our Vista EMS personnel reviewing their Prehospital Care Reports (PCRs) as part of our Quality Assessment & Quality Improvement (QA/QI) Program. PCRs document all care provided and record critical patient information obtained during EMS calls, serving as a vital component of patient care and system accountability.
