This week's Monday Night Drill was "CPR" for our members. The "CPR" drill had our members attending an American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certification class. Vista Fire Department personnel are trained to use cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) as a lifesaving technique in emergencies such as cardiac arrest, near-drowning incidents, or situations where a patient's breathing or heartbeat has stopped. Our members train annually on CPR to stay current with best practices and guidelines. We would like to extend our thanks to Mutual Responder Dave Jacobsen and Ex-Chief Cindy (Nichols) Jacobsen for leading the class and certifying our members in CPR for another year this past Monday night. For more information on how to become a member, call (914)-533-2727, email us at Info@VistaFD.org, visit https://www.vistafd.org/content/become/, or apply online here: https://www.vistafd.org/apply. |
