Here is some information on the Vista Fire Department Line Officers for this upcoming fiscal year:

Chief Jeffrey Peck - Chief Peck begins his 11th year as Chief after being appointed in September 2014 and has been a Line Officer in the Vista Fire Department since May 2007. Chief Peck is a 2nd-generation Chief in the Vista Fire Department, as his grandfather, Ex-Chief Jack Peck, served as the 11th Chief of the Vista Fire Department from 1960 to 1962. He is also a 4th-generation Vista Fire Department member, along with his brother, Mike Peck, who currently serves as our Lead Foreman.

Captain Brian Porco - Captain Porco begins his 4th year as a Captain and has been a Line Officer in the Vista Fire Department since May 2015.

Captain Marc Baiocco - Captain Baiocco begins his 3rd year as a Captain and has been a Line Officer in the Vista Fire Department since May 2020.

Lieutenant Dan Castelhano - Lieutenant Castelhano begins his 3rd year as a Lieutenant and has been a Line Officer in the Vista Fire Department since May 2023.

Lieutenant Eleanor Hersam - Lieutenant Hersam begins her 2nd year as a Lieutenant and has been a Line Officer in the Vista Fire Department since May 2024.

Safety Officer James Hackett - Safety Officer Hackett has previously served the Vista Fire Department as its Chief for three years (1991–1994) and brings 46 years of service to the role. He will continue to ensure the ongoing safety of all personnel on emergency scenes throughout this fiscal year.

All Line Officer positions were favorably elected by the Vista Fire Department membership and approved by the Vista District #1 Board of Commissioners.
