This week's Monday Night Drill was "SCBA Operations and Rehab Operations" for our members.

During the "SCBA Operations" portion, Vista Fire Department personnel reviewed the proper use of Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), practicing essential techniques such as reduced profile maneuvers, full removal, and managing entanglements caused by obstructions. These skills are critical for ensuring firefighters are prepared for the challenges of interior operations, including emergency egress and search and rescue scenarios.

At the same time, our Vista EMS personnel conducted a "Rehab Operations" drill, focusing on the health and safety of responders during emergency incidents. Fireground rehab plays a vital role in monitoring physical and mental well-being, helping ensure that our teams remain safe, alert, and ready to perform at their best.

The Vista Fire Department is fortunate to offer both Fire & EMS services, allowing our teams to train together in these vital scenarios, strengthening our ability to respond as a unified team.
