This week's Monday Night Drill was "Narcan Training" for our members.
The "Narcan Training" drill had our Vista Fire Department personnel learning how to properly use Narcan on a patient who has overdosed and all the dangers opioids possess on a human being. This type of training will now better prepare our Vista Fire Department personnel when handling an emergency response where an opioid overdose is detected. This drill is part of the "Community Opioid Overdose Training" led by the Westchester County Department of Health and we would like to thank Patrick Quinn for leading our drill this past Monday!
