On June 3rd, 2023 the Vista Fire Department held their Annual Inspection Dinner at the Vista Firehouse on Smith Ridge Road in South Salem, New York.

At the 2023 Vista FD Annual Inspection Dinner, the VFD awarded Firefighter Ron Egloff as their 2022-2023 Firefighter of the Year, Foreman Isabel Fry as their 2022-2023 EMT of the Year and Firefighter/EMT Ryan Huntsman as their 2022-2023 Rookie of the Year.

Firefighter Ron Egloff joined the Vista Fire Department in June 1977 and has served as a Line Officer, Firefighter & Driver/Motor Pump Operator throughout his time with us. Firefighter Egloff was the #4 responder in 2022 responding to 177 out of 326 calls and was the #10 drill attendee in 2022 attending 18 out of 36 drills. Firefighter Egloff previously won the Firefighter of the Year award in 1994-1995 and showcases the dedication it takes to receive the Firefighter of the Year award in the Vista Fire Department.

Foreman Isabel Fry joined the Vista Fire Department in February 2016 and has been certified as an EMT since 2018. Foreman Fry was tied as the #6 drill attendee in 2022 attending 22 out of 36 drills. Foreman Fry showcases the dedication it takes to receive the EMT of the Year award in the Vista Fire Department.

Firefighter/EMT Ryan Huntsman joined the Vista Fire Department in December 2021 and has been certified as an EMT since 2022. Firefighter/EMT Huntsman was the #3 responder in 2022 responding to 194 out of 326 calls and was tied as the #6 drill attendee in 2022 attending 22 out of 36 drills. Firefighter/EMT Huntsman showcases the dedication it takes to receive the Rookie of the Year award in the Vista Fire Department.
