We at the Vista Volunteer Fire Department are deeply saddened to announce that former Vista Fire District #1 Secretary Barbara Woodstead passed away last month.

Barbara served the Vista Fire District #1 as it's secretary for 39 years, was a past member of the Vista Fire Department Auxiliary and was a dedicated supporter of the Vista Fire Department. Over the years Barbara's sons served in the Vista Fire Department as Steven and Robert still serve with the Department to this day. The bonds Barbara created with her fellow Vista Fire District #1 officials and members of the Vista Fire Department will live on forever in the hearts and memories of all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

There will be a celebration of Barbara's life this Sunday, June 26th from 1pm to 5pm at the Vista Firehouse (377 Smith Ridge Road).
