This Wednesday's "EMT Skills Class" had our EMS personnel reviewing “How to assist the EMT."

Vista EMS personnel reviewed how to properly support the lead EMT on an emergency scene. Vista EMS personnel also practiced how to gather patient information when acting as an attendant, they reviewed on scene priorities & objectives during an EMS call and they put their knowledge to the test by conducting a "scavenger hunt" to find equipment on our ambulances. This type of training helped define the roles of a lead EMT, attendant and ambulance driver for most EMS incidents. This type of training is what will prepare our EMT Candidates who are planning to take a future EMT Basic class succeed and for our EMTs who have completed EMT Basic to keep up with their skills.
