Here is some information on the Vista Fire Department Line Officers for 2021-2022:

Chief Jeffrey Peck - Chief Peck begins his 7th year as Chief after being appointed in September 2014 and has been a Line Officer in the Vista Fire Department since May 2007. Chief Peck is a 2nd generation Chief in the Vista Fire Department as his Grandfather, Ex-Chief Jack Peck, served as the 11th Chief of the Vista Fire Department from 1960-1962. He is also a 4th generation Vista Fire Department member along with his brother, Mike Peck, who currently serves as our 1st Assistant Chief.

1st Assistant Chief Michael Peck - 1st Assistant Chief Peck begins his 4th year as the 1st Assistant Chief in the Vista Fire Department, has been a Line Officer since May 2011 and is a 4th generation Vista Fire Department member along with his brother, Chief Jeffrey Peck.

2nd Assistant Chief Brian Porco - 2nd Assistant Chief Porco begins his 1st year as the 2nd Assistant Chief after completing 3 years as a Captain and has been a Line Officer in the Vista Fire Department since May 2015.

Captain Philip Katz - Captain Katz begins his 2nd year as a Captain in the Vista Fire Department and has been a Line Officer in the Vista Fire Department since May 2017.

Captain Wilmer Cervantes - Captain Cervantes begins his 1st year as a Captain after completing 5 years as a Lieutenant and has been a Line Officer in the Vista Fire Department since May 2016.

Lieutenant Marc Baiocco - Lieutenant Marc Baiocco begins his 2nd year as a Lieutenant and has been a Line Officer in the Vista Fire Department since May 2020.

Safety Officer James Hackett - Safety Officer Hackett has previously served the Vista Fire Department as it's Chief for 3 years (1991-1994) and will bring his 43 years of service in the Vista Fire Department to ensure the ongoing safety of all personnel on emergency scenes this fiscal year.

Safety Officer William Dingee - Safety Officer Dingee has previously served the Vista Fire Department as it's Chief for 8 years (2003-2007 and 2010-2014) and will bring his 38 years of service in the Vista Fire Department to ensure the ongoing safety of all personnel on emergency scenes this fiscal year.

We would also like to thank Captain Deborah Ferman for her service as a Captain over the last 6 years as she wrapped up her time as a Line Officer!

All Line Officer positions were elected by the Vista Fire Department membership and approved by the Vista District #1 Board of Commissioners.
