This week's Monday drill was an "ASHER Review" for our members.
The "ASHER Review" drill prepared our Vista Fire Department personnel in responding to Active Shooter / Hostile Event Response (ASHER) related incidents. Vista Fire Department personnel reviewed the basic principles of the rescue task force program and also learned how to apply tourniquets, hemostatic gauze & dressings for a wound. Lastly our members practiced carry procedures on removing wounded patients during these types of incidents.
If you are interested in being part of our team at the Vista FD, visit us any Monday night from 6:30pm - 9:30pm for more details or click the "Become a Member" tab at VistaFD.org!
