This week's Monday Night Drill was a "New Apparatus Laptop Orientation - Pre-Plan System Webinar" drill for our Firefighters and an "EMS CME Webinar" drill for our EMTs. Both of these drills had our members logging onto their computers due to the COVID-19 pandemic as the Vista Fire Department continues with holding online learning. The "New Apparatus Laptop Orientation - Pre-Plan System Webinar" drill had our Vista Firefighters going through the purpose of a pre-plan and the new pre-plan computer system program that will be located on our new apparatus laptops. Vista Firefighters received a walkthrough on the new pre-plan system computer program, how it can be utilized during an emergency incident and the features it has to aid our responding crews. This was another step forward for our Vista Firefighters as we continue the process of going "live" with these new laptops in the coming months. The "EMS CME Webinar" drill had our Vista EMS personnel reviewing abdominal, genitourinary-renal, gastrointestinal, hematology and airway for this month's CME class. The continuing medical education (CME) program helps train our Vista EMS personnel throughout the year so they can continue to serve our community at it's highest level by keeping up on several skills.
