We at the Vista Fire Department would like to congratulate Foreman Peter Gomez on completing the 8-hour "Trench Rescue: Awareness level" class this past week at the Westchester County Fire Training Center in Valhalla, New York!

The Westchester County Fire Training Center website describes the class as the following: "This course will discuss problems that can and do occur in trench rescue incidents. The safety techniques, shoring techniques, proper procedures, team operations, and hazard assessment will all be discussed and explained in depth."
