Vista FD responds to Motor Vehicle Accident on 07/18/20

On Saturday evening around 2000 hours, the Vista Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with a rollover near the intersection of Smith Ridge Road and Tommy's Lane along with the Lewisboro Police Department. Vista Fire Department personnel that were first on the scene updated the call to extrication with entrapment. At that time units from the South Salem Fire Department, New Canaan Fire Department, Westchester EMS Paramedics and LifeNet Air 2 were requested for mutual aid assistance.

The occupant was extricated from the vehicle by the Vista & South Salem Firefighters on scene and was evaluated by Vista EMS, Westchester EMS paramedics and medics from LifeNet Air 2. The vehicle's operator was transported to a local hospital.

Vista Fire Department & Lewisboro Police Department personnel closed traffic on Smith Ridge Road and the scene was handed over to the Lewisboro Police Department and New York State Troopers shortly after 2130 hours, at which point all first responder agency units were cleared from the scene.

The Vista Fire Department would like to thank the Lewisboro Police Department, New York State Troopers, 60 Control Dispatch, South Salem Fire Department, New Canaan Fire Department, Westchester EMS Paramedics and LifeNet Air 2 for their assistance with yesterday's motor vehicle accident call.
