This week's Monday drill was a "Fire and EMS at a Trauma Scene Webinar" for our members. This drill had our members logging onto their computers due to the COVID-19 pandemic as the Vista Fire Department continues with holding online learning.

The "Fire and EMS at a Trauma Scene Webinar" drill had our Vista Fire Department personnel reviewing how to respond during a trauma emergency. Vista Fire Department members also looked at how to manage several types of traumatic injuries including cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, respiratory, integumentary, endocrine, and the nervous system. We also looked at how the different trauma levels pertain to the severity of injuries and the types of transport decisions that need to be made based on the level of trauma sustained by a patient.
