This week's Monday drill was an "Airbags and Patient Extrication" drill for our members.

The "Airbags and Patient Extrication" drill had our members going through how to properly operate the airbags and cribbing during extrication procedures. Vista Fire Department personnel participated in several scenarios where they operated the airbags and cribbing while a patient needed to be extricated from underneath a car. Once Vista Firefighters extricated the patient, Vista EMS personnel practiced the proper procedures of patient treatment based on the scenarios given to them.
