This Sunday morning we held a "Motor Pump Operators & Firefighter Skills Class" and an "EMT Skills Class" for our weekly Sunday Training.

This Sunday's "Motor Pump Operators & Firefighter Skills Class" had our Firefighting personnel conducting an overview of a reduced SCBA profile, how to conduct a full SCBA escape and an evolution through our mask confidence course. This type of training is what will help our prospective Apparatus drivers to become cleared drivers in our Department as well as Firefighters who plan on attending the New York State Firefighter I program succeed in their class, and for our Firefighters who have completed Firefighter I to keep up with their skills.

This Sunday's "EMT Skills Class" had our EMS personnel conducting an overview of asthma, medication administration and BLS treatment. This type of training is what will prepare our EMT Candidates who are planning to take a future EMT Basic class succeed and for our EMTs who have completed EMT Basic to keep up with their skills.
