This week's Monday Night Drill was "Water Rescue" for our members.
The "Water Rescue" drill had our Vista Fire Department members practicing several rescue techniques such as how to remove a patient from the water, how to maintain head stabilization when a patient is floating and the utilization of a backboard during a water rescue call. The Vista Fire Department does this "water rescue" drill annually to keep up with these skills due to the several bodies of water in the Vista Fire District and the residential pools in our area as well.
If you are interested in being part of our team at the Vista FD, visit us any Monday night from 6:30pm - 9:30pm or click the "Become a Member" tab at VistaFD.org for more details!
