This past Thursday evening members of the Vista Fire Department enjoyed a night of fun and relaxation as they went bowling at Bowlmor Lanes in Norwalk, Connecticut!

The event was the prize for both the 2020 & 2021 Saturday Platoons Cooking Competition that was won by Platoon 1 in 2020 and Platoon 2 in 2021. Members of Platoon 1 & Platoon 2 enjoyed a night out as a show of thanks for all of their dedication to the Vista Fire Department and for winning the Saturday Platoons Cooking Competition!

The "Saturday Platoons Program" started in 2015 and currently has 40+ members spread out over four platoons on shift one Saturday each month to cover the Vista Fire District during a 12-hour span. Each Platoon is led by Officers and Foremen where our members cover the Vista Fire District starting at 1900hrs on Saturday evening until 0700hrs on Sunday morning.
