Sunday Training for 04/14/19

This Sunday morning we held a "Firefighter Skills Class" and a "Motor Pump Operators Class" for our weekly Sunday Training.

This Sunday's "Firefighter Skills Class" focused on how to stretch an 1-3/4" hose line throughout a building and how to properly perform forcible entry. This type of training is what will help our Firefighters who plan on attending the New York State Firefighter I program succeed in their class and for our Firefighters who have completed Firefighter I to keep up with their skills.

This Sunday's "Motor Pump Operators Class" had our prospective apparatus drivers going over drafting operations and how to operate the pump panel on Engine 143 while Engine 141 supplied 1-3/4" hose lines to our Firefighters performing hose line advancement operations. This type of training is what will help our prospective Apparatus Drivers/MPOs become cleared drivers on Engine 141.
