This Sunday morning we held a "Firefighter Skills Class," an "EMT Skills Class," and Driver Training for our members who are becoming Apparatus Drivers on Engine 143 & Engine 141 for our weekly Sunday Training.

This Sunday's "Firefighter Skills Class" had our Firefighting personnel reviewing fire behavior, the types of building construction and how a size up is conducted. This type of training is what will help our Firefighters who plan on attending the New York State Firefighter I program succeed in their class and for our Firefighters who have completed Firefighter I to keep up with their skills.

This Sunday's "EMT Skills Class" had our EMS personnel going over CPR protocols and reviewing how to properly use both an AED & Lucas CPR machine. This type of training is what will prepare our EMT Candidates who are planning to take a future EMT Basic class succeed and for our EMTs who have completed EMT Basic to keep up with their skills.
