Last night the Westchester County Fire Training Center in Valhalla, New York held graduations for several Firefighter I and Firefighter Survival classes taken over the last several months. Two of our Firefighters, Peter Sloan and Nicholas Kaplan, were among the graduates last night.

Firefighter I is the initial class that all Volunteer Firefighters take to learn the basic necessary skills to become a Firefighter. With these classes under their belt, Firefighter Sloan and Firefighter/EMT Candidate Kaplan will continue their training by attending more classes at the Westchester County Fire Training Center and in our Firehouse.

We at the Vista Fire Department would like to congratulate Firefighter Sloan and Firefighter/EMT Candidate Kaplan on this tremendous accomplishment and wish them continued success in their Fire Service careers!
