This Sunday morning we held an "MPO & Firefighter Skills Class" and held an American Heart Association CPR Class for our weekly Sunday Training.

This Sunday's "MPO & Firefighter Skills Class" had our Firefighting personnel practicing pumping Engine 142 & Engine 143 while Firefighters stretched an 1-3/4" hose line to simulate how they would fight a fire inside a burning structure. This type of training is what will help our prospective Apparatus drivers to become cleared drivers in our Department as well as Firefighters who plan on attending the New York State Firefighter I program succeed in their class and for our Firefighters who have completed Firefighter I to keep up with their skills.

While the "MPO & Firefighter Fundamentals Class" was going on, the Vista Fire Department held an American Heart Association CPR class for several of our members. Our members take CPR on a yearly basis to properly serve the Vista Fire District #1 community.
