Vista FD responds to Motor Vehicle Accident on 07/26/18

On Thursday afternoon around 1515 hours, the Vista Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident with a vehicle fire as a car struck a utility pole and another car on Smith Ridge Road.

Upon arrival, it was determined there was a negative vehicle fire as the driver of one car self extricated prior to Vista Fire Department units arriving. The occupants were evaluated by Vista EMS, with one occupant refusing medical attention and one patient taken to a nearby hospital via basic life support.

Vista Firefighters closed traffic on Smith Ridge Road and the scene was handed over to Lewisboro Police shortly after 1615 hours, at which point all Vista Fire Department units were cleared from the scene and returned to service.
