This Saturday we held a "Bailout System Training" course for our interior firefighters.

The first portion of our bailout system training was a PowerPoint presentation that focused on reviewing the bailout system that we use in the Vista Fire Department. Vista firefighters learned about the bailout system by going over how to deploy the system, how to properly maintain it and what will be expected of them when they complete the practical portion following the PowerPoint.

Following the PowerPoint presentation, our Firefighters participated in the practical portion of the bailout system course. Vista Firefighters conducted 6 "jumps" using different techniques and procedures on how to operate the bailout system. This training certifies our interior firefighters on the bailout system issued by the Vista Fire Department. We would like to thank the instructors from AAA Emergency Supply Co. for leading our bailout system training and certifying our interior firefighters!
