We at the Vista Fire Department would like to congratulate Captain Debbie Ferman on completing the "EMS Command Bootcamp" Class at the Westchester County Fire Training Center in Valhalla, New York!

Captain Ferman completed the 8-hour course described as the following by New York State:

“The EMS command school is focused toward the strategy and tactics around leading EMS incidents from a two car MVC to major long duration incidents bridging the gap between ICS and real-life. It is intended to bring focus to issues of strategy and tactics for “the big one.” Using lectures, tabletop exercises, hands on drills and case studies you will learn the essential concepts and skills you need to be effective at EMS command functions.”

All training is free of charge to the members of the Vista Fire Department and Volunteers are needed! Please visit VistaFD.org for more details on how you can join our team!
