This Sunday morning we held an "MPO & Firefighter Fundamentals Class" and an "EMT Fundamentals Class" for our weekly Sunday Training.

This Sunday's "MPO & Firefighter Fundamentals Class" focused on how to properly inspect an SCBA, going through an SCBA mask confidence course and how to properly call a "mayday." This type of training is what will help our Firefighters who plan on attending the New York State Firefighter I program succeed in their class and for our Firefighters who have completed Firefighter I to keep up with their skills.

This week's "EMT Fundamentals Class" had our EMS personnel test their knowledge in an EMS trivia game and how well they know equipment in our ambulances by blindfolding them. This type of training is what will prepare our EMT Candidates who are preparing themselves for a future EMT-Basic class and for our EMTs who have completed EMT-Basic to keep up with their skills.
